  • Getting ready to revisit my LP collection

    Well, I had a great line up of comments for today until I realized that I had looked at the wrong month!  That's why what I was writing was so familiar...hehe

    I am in the midst of looking forward to recording my LP collection to CDr.  After decades of traveling around the country with them, I am looking forward to hearing many of them again and being able to enjoy them more often with out the stigma of ruining them. 

    Thought I would ask what some of you out there use to record your old LPs and cassettes to your PC.  I need some software ideas that help remove tape hiss and pops and clicks that invariably will appear.

    Suggestions are welcome....

    This weekend was somewhat interesting.  Decided to watch the first season of Futurama which is just an awesome show that deserved to still be running.  Read a book by Steven Ozment on the history of Germany.  And listened to a fabulous recording of Holst's Planets and Poulenc's Organ Concerto.  How's that for a variety of things to spend your time on!
