It has been a busy week again.  I had gone bargain hunting a couple of weeks ago and found a pile of old releases I can't wait to get around to once I return home.  Among those was a favorite childhood film favorite, The Ghost and Mr. Chicken.  I'm not quite a Vic Mizzy junky, but I his music is just so much fun to listen to that it makes for a great contrast to the generic scores I have had to review lately.

So two things that made me go "hmmm"...

If what Don Imus said does not bear repeating, why is it that most TV news media outlets, and many newspapers, continue to "repeat" what he said?

In the midst of the tragedy of VA Tech, and now the Houston Johnson Space Center, why are we being subjected to a private phone call voice mail by Alec Baldwin to his daughter?  Is it necessary to spend more time on a wealthy father yelling at a privileged kid from a dysfunctional family than on the real tragedy that happened this week?  I guess it's all relative.
